Registration
All guilds and freelancers must pre-register for any events that award VPs. Registration for scheduled events will be accepted until the first instance of the event actually begins. If there is any question regarding receipt and recording of registration in time, the timestamp of the missive will be the determining factor. Registration for all "ongoing" events (i.e., combat, weaponskills) will be accepted until the start of the actual festival, currently planned for Tuesday, April 18, 2005 @ 8 pm EST.
Guilds are to submit a roster for all participants they wish to register prior to Tuesday, April 18, 2005 @ 8:00 pm EST. Names listed on the roster are considered registered for all VP-earning events, although participants are not required to participant in all eligible events.
The only exception to the above rules is the Bardic Competition. Registration for the Bardic Competition must be received by 8:00 pm EST on the day of the competition to be included in the lineup. This registration is apart and separate from any other registrations and must be done for each of the three Bardic Competitions (if you choose to participate in more than one). When registering, please include the form of prose to be performed, be it poetry, music or storytelling and make note of the time allotments as indicated on the Bardic Competition page.
All registrations should be submitted to: Beltane Records. For clarification, please put "Registration for [Name of Event]" in the subject line. If you are registering an entire guild or registering as a freelancer for the entire festival, please put "Registration of [Guild Name/Freelancer's Name] for Festival Events". This will let us separate registrations quickly and efficiently.
Proctors
Proctors, as always, are a vital necessity for the success of any event. We welcome any and all volunteers for proctoring. We ask only that a working knowledge of the rules for the event being proctored is possessed. We also ask that the guidelines for submitting logs of matches are followed as listed on each event's rule page.
It is our intention to provide a minimum of one "full-time" proctor for events that are is scheduled on certain nights. These would include the Grape Stomp Melee, Down the Hatch, and the Frog Jump/Piggy Back Races. Matches for these events are only valid if they begin during the scheduled time. Participants are not required to wait for the provided proctors, if they are able to provide one of their own. We do require that you use a variation of the assigned room (i.e., FoB Pavillion1, FoB Pavillion2) so that we can monitor the progress of these events.
The Gauntlet will be overseen by an assigned proctor at all times, as there is only one machine built. Please do not attempt to proctor this event.
AT NO TIME is anyone other than assigned proctors to attempt emceeing (proctoring) the Bardic Competition. This is a structured competition and must be overseen by authorized personnel only.
All logs and questions regarding proctoring should be submitted to: Beltane Records.
Event Rules
Each event, whether VP earning or not, has its own section on the appropriate page. Please refer to those pages for specific rules, VP awardings and proctoring information. Please note that all events that do not award VPs are designed specifically for ((roleplay)) enjoyment. We encourage you to make use of these events and just have a good time.
Please note that all events are subject to the ten minute punt rule and two minute action rule as with all such events. This applies even though it is not stated in every set of rules contained herein. Furthermore, all one on one competitions are to initialize with 1d6; others, with 1d100. This should be stated in each set of rules.
Event Contacts
Primary contact/guardian for the duration of this event is Kyral Laithe VanSandt, of Nouvelle Aube. All questions, comments, and/or concerns should be addressed to: Beltane Records. They will be addressed as soon as possible by the Event Guardian.
Event Timeline
This event will run from Tuesday, April 18, 2005 to Sunday, May 1, 2005.
